Free August Activities for Families at Riverside!
This August, The Riverside Venue is the place to be, with a fantastic programme of free, family-friendly activities taking place in our beautiful riverside garden throughout the month.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon or a fun-filled family day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy:
🎬 Sundays – Movies on the Big Screen (7pm, FREE)
Sit back, relax and enjoy family favourites under the open sky in our picturesque gardens.
16th August: Encanto
23rd August: Grease
🗺️ Mondays – Summer Treasure Hunt (All Day, FREE)
Collect an activity pack from The Muddy Oar and explore the grounds at your own pace as you search for hidden park landmarks in our fun family treasure hunt.
🧸 Wednesdays – Teddy Bears’ Picnic (12pm-1.30pm, FREE) & Family Music Bingo (2pm-3pm, FREE)
Enjoy a teddy bear themed craft session in the gardens, where children can get creative with their favourite teddy by their side. Lunch and refreshments will be available to purchase from the bar (please note that outside food and drink is not permitted).
Then stay for our Family Entertainment, featuring a different activity each week. From music bingo and quizzes to interactive games and other family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

An Evening of Magic!

Join Master Magician Dean Meredith for an unforgettable one-hour theatrical experience filled with sophisticated magic, illusion and captivating storytelling.
As the room is illuminated by candlelight, you’ll experience an intimate evening where objects vanish, thoughts are revealed and mystery unfolds right before your eyes.
£25 per person – includes Dinner & Magic Show.
Adults Only. Limited seating. Smart Attire please.

Summer Event Week - 24th August - 30th August
Looking for the perfect way to keep the whole family entertained? We’ve got an action-packed week of activities planned, with something exciting happening every day at The Riverside Venue!
🌿 Monday – Nature Foraging Walk (2pm-2.45pm, FREE)
Round up the children, parents, grandparents and anyone else who wants to join the adventure! Meet at the Muddy Oar Bar and then wander through our beautiful green spaces collecting fallen natural treasures such as colourful leaves, twigs, petals and pebbles. Let your imagination run wild as you create your very own nature monsters, woodland animals or even a brand-new holiday mascot!
🎲 Tuesday – Giant Inflatables (11am-4pm, £3 for children and £5 for adults) & Family Quiz Night (6pm-10pm, FREE)
An action packed day of giant inflatable fun for the whole family. The whole family can take part, with entry being £3 for children and £5 for adults.
Then stay and challenge family and friends with a Quiz Night!
🧸 Wednesdays – Football Workshop (10pm-12pm, FREE). Family BBQ (2pm). Disco Bingo Bight (6pm, FREE)
Meet Mat and Max on the field for a fun-filled morning of football! ⚽ Get stuck into lively drills, sharpen your skills, build confidence and, of course, put it all into practice with a match to finish. Game on!
Then grab some lunch from 2pm when the BBQ will be fired up for some much needed fuel! Perhaps even stay for our music bingo night, hosted outdoors (weather permitting!)
🎪 Thursday – Circus Workshop (2pm – 4pm, £3 per child) & Comedy Magic Show with Mark Serra (7pm, FREE).
Roll up, roll up! Learn exciting circus skills with our hands-on workshop that’s guaranteed to delight children (and adventurous grown-ups too!). There will also be a special children’s show – keep your eyes peeled for more information coming soon!
The evening will finish with a comedy magic show with Mark Serra from 7pm.
🎶 Friday, Saturday & Sunday – Live Music
Finish the week in style with live music playing all weekend.
On Friday, there will be a 70’s singer an 80’s singer on Saturday & the weekend will finish with a 90’s singer on Sunday! Enjoy a fantastic soundtrack of classic hits, great entertainment and a brilliant atmosphere that’s perfect for dancing, singing along and making unforgettable summer memories.
Throughout September, enjoy live music every Saturday night!
Weather permitting, we’ll be outside on the outdoor stage. If the weather isn’t on our side, we’ll move the music into the Muddy Oar Bar.
Grab a drink, enjoy a bite to eat, and dance the night away! 🍻🎵💃

Fireworks Extravaganza - Friday 30th October
Come and join us for a spectacular evening of fireworks, fun and festive atmosphere!
We reckon we’ve got the best fireworks in Stratford-upon-Avon… but we might be a little biased! 😉🎇
