PRESS RELEASE 02/10/2018: Ross-on-Wye’s five-star caravan and camping park, Broadmeadow Park
After planning, developing and having run this fantastic family run caravan park for over two decades, Mr & Mrs Brian and Elizabeth Edwards, (pictured) have decided to hang up their boots and step into well-deserved retirement. Having nurtured Broadmeadow Caravan Park for 22 years and maintaining its prestigious English Tourist Boards 5 stars throughout this time Brian and Elizabeth sought an experienced buyer to continue to run and manage the park following their retirement, and have since handed the keys over to
Warwickshire-based Avon Estates Ltd, a family business with a proven track record and an extensive portfolio of Holiday & Home Parks throughout the UK, have run and developed successful operations for over three decades and offer a wide range of residential and holiday accommodation throughout central England and Wales. The acquisition of Broadmeadow in Ross-on-Wye now extends this reach into Herefordshire offering their existing customers another new alternative to the hugely popular Riverside Park on the banks of the River Avon in Shakespeare’s famous Stratford-upon-Avon, where regular customers enjoy options of glamping, hire of riverside holiday homes and luxury lodges, as well as touring pitches and riverside cottages.
Owner of Avon Estates Ltd, Nic Allen said, "Today's announcement marks another important step for the company. Over the last few years we have enhanced our core business and further developed our offering for our valued touring and hire customers. We are confident that the addition of this highly regarded site will allow us to operate as a trusted and reliable partner for Broadmeadows' regular customers, and will help us continue to execute on our growth agenda within the industry.”
With 150 grass pitches and an array of onsite facilities including an impressive toilet and shower block, free wi-fi and excellent fishing on the parks private lakes, visitors are particularly impressed with the location of the park being such a short walk from Ross-on-Wye town centre, and the immaculately kept designated dog walking area.
Broadmeadow Park’s website will shortly be undergoing a refresh, and a revised tariff for 2019 touring pitches will be rolled out within the next few days as the handover takes place. Currently closed for the Winter, Broadmeadow looks forward to opening it’s doors again to new and old customers at the start of the Spring Season on 1st April 2019.
